Bike Service
Crosstrax has a fully equipped workshop and is run by experienced staff who are all graduates. We only use Park Tools in the workshop as we believe these are the best in the industry. We can offer a range of service and repair work to suit most needs, including simple puncture repairs, through to full bike servicing involving hub, headset and fork strip downs.
Between us we have a wealth of experience working on different bikes from road to downhill, single speed to commuters and folding bikes.
Our price list is published below, all labour charges are inclusive of VAT. VAT will be charged at a rate of 17.5%.
Basic Service - £35
Includes wheel truing, hub and headset bearing adjustment, gear adjustment, brake alignment/adjustment, tyre pressures and safety check on individual components.
Replacement parts at additional cost
Full Service - £70
As the Basic Service with hub and headset strip down and service, new cables, gear adjustment, and hydraulic brake fluid replacement, brake alignment/adjustment, frame cleaned and suspension re-greased.
One thing you will find with our servicing is that we will not just go ahead and fit a bunch of replacement parts for no reason - we will always contact and advise you prior to replacing any components as we don't want you to get a shock when you pick the bike up.
Wheel Truing - £8 minimum charge
Wheel truing can be carried out by our staff. In cases where satisfactory truing is not possible, customers will be advised and alternatives suggested.
Crosstrax operate a booking in system for the workshop. Please note that when we are busy you will need to book the service in advance, please call the shop to arrange a suitable time. Note; if its urgent we can sometimes do the service on the same day depending on workload.
Most other work will be charged on a time charge basis, an estimate of the anticipated labour cost will be given on the day of service. We can usually fix anything and do not get snobbish with people and their bikes.
Please Note if you deliver the bike to us covered in mud then we will have to charge £5.00 for cleaning the mud off prior to servicing.
